I wonder the same thing. If miracles like how one loaf of bread could feed tons of people, why can't things like that happen today. There are tons of starving people who could use some of that miracle bread.

whats wrong with that, im poor and ill admit its my fault, most people have addictions that lead them to being poor (sex, food ,drugs) addictions r ok tho, as people enjoy them, they usually release the same chemical as playing a sport so include that in there too, or they don't like the idea of work , commonly called lazy, if your poor its usually cause you made it that way, dont wine and cry about it, im poor and i enjoy my life, i own lots of nice stuff, and noone has an EXCUSE to be poor they all squandered their cash on things they think they need or want, or they were lazy. And in these poor third world countries, they dont starve, they have plenty land to grow crops on, they just wanna be lazy. I mean some people want cash in the bank, others enjoy their spending addiction. Food isnt expensive when you eat basic foods , i can eat on a dollar to 4 a day, and itll be way more than what you eat, i know cause i eat a LOT when i want, but its in the mind, and you dont need to eat out at red lobster everyday, home cookin is much cheaper.

Everyone will be judged according to his/her own deeds. If a rich person negected the opportunity to give to the poor, they will be held accountable for it.If a poor person steals from a rich person, then they will be held accountable for that also. Our chore here is to grow spiritually, just like as if we were working out at the gym, physically. Each day we are giving the choice to improve our spirits/soul,then when we reach the next level, eternity,we will be ready to live there as well."If" God did not exsist we would not be here to have a chance to learn about his plan for each and every one of us.It is a priviledge to breathe his air and live on his planet until we will be in front of him to be judged for all our good deeds or bad ones.Jesus said, forget not the old and have no other gods before the one true God,and to love your neighbor as much as you love yourself. If you followed that great commandment to "love your neighbor" as much as you loved yourself, then if you were rich and your neighbor was starving, you would feed them, house them, clothe them, right? It's so funny,God gives us everything, but yet we blame him for what we believe he is not giving us because we are too lazy to do the right thing. If you know of people who are starving, feed them!If you know people who are squandering their money, ask them to help out.Peace!!

Your question makes the assumption that God has a personality and takes action. However, as the defining attribute of God is perfection, and an unfinished action is by definition imperfect, action is not in the nature of God. Nor is any other human (and therefore finite and imperfect) attribute.

With all the people suffering unnecessarily in the world, if there is a god, then he/she/it is either apathetic, impotent, sadistic or playing favorites in regards to human affairs. I think a much more probably explanation for the economic disparity that you spoke of is that people are greedy: plain and simple. We want the spoils of life, even if those spoils are the next man's sustenance. If we didn't want to eat t-bone steak, then everyone could have hamburger, but most still want that t-bone.

Life is about helping the needy. The rich should be helping out the ones in need instead of racketeering for more wealth.
Oprah's wealth could build a school and hospital in all of Africa's towns and villages.

Chioce, God lets us all choose our path, gives us all freewill to do as we please. Now I am not saying these people choose to starve. It all goes back to choices that others have made (The mess that others have made)and God lets us live with the consequences wether they be good or bad. Sadley those insuch bad situations have nothing to do with what is going on around them.

God is not a dictator, He allows us to choose what to do with our money. Most Christians donate to those less fortunate.
