I'm a college freshman. There is a girl I'm really interested in, but my concern is that we don't know each other very well. In fact, I've talked to her only twice. Valentine's Day is coming up soon, and I am worried if someone will try to "snatch her up" on that day. That would be more painful than rejection. I feel like giving her something on Wednesday, but the time just doesn't seem right. I need to get to know her more, and she should feel more comfortable with me. So I'm in a dilemma. I really don't want to lose her to some other dude because it took me great balls to break the ice, but simultaneously I don't wanna scare her off. Is it okay to give her a small V Day card? If yes, is it okay to write something like "you seem like a great person, and I would love to get to know you better. Happy V Day?" Or do you suggest I write something else? I need y'all's suggestions because I can't make a decision right now. I wanna make her day, but I don't wanna be 2 obvious that i like her.

leave a card and a flower on her door step, enclose your phone number, and if she calls, you did well.

I say you give her the card - I'd want certainly want one!

I think your message is fine but it might scare her off. Write something more casual.

You seem like a great person and I wish you the best of luck with her!
