You can't unless you have an FFL and if ya had one of them you wouldn't ask such a foolish question in the first place.

From any FFL dealer in the USA that has a website and the 1911 you're looking for. They will then ask you for a local FFL, your local FFL will send them a copy of their license. You'll pay for the 1911, then you may also end up paying shipping and there may also be a transfer fee, unless your local FFL is a friend of yours.
See, it IS LEGAL, though you will have to follow federal regulations.
Its actually quite easy. I purchase this way as there are no local firearms retailers close to where I live.

gretsch16pc is wrong. You don't need an FFL to buy one online. I agree with mike b that gunbroker.com is the place or auctionarms.com. Good Shooting.

You can buy one but it has to be shipped to a gun dealer near you, someone that has an FFL like a gun store or pawn shop. It can't be shipped to your door.

You can't buy a firearm online, it is illegal. You can look at websites of vendors that sale them, then make arrangements to go and pick it up.
