First you need hair trims every 3 months at least. then you need to try to not use heat as often as you can get away from it. Like on weekends, let it dry naturally and put it in a ponytail. also, always rinse hair in cool water, it closes the cuticles of the hair shaft. Never rub your hair with a towel, always squeeze and pat, it causes less stress. Use the cool setting on your hairdryer at the very end to close the cuticles when you must dry it. A little conditioner every time is ok if your hair needs it, if not just use it as often as you feel it is needed. It really does nothing to stop split ends it just makes the hair more manageable and may not cause as much damage if your hair tends to tangle a lot. Otherwise you don't need it every time. Good luck.

The most effective way is by getting your hair trimmed. If you don't want to do that, I suggest Pantene's corrective conditioner, or a hot oil treatment. The hot oil will temporarily mend the split ends until you get a trim, just make sure you use it on the ends of your hair only so the rest of your hair does not get weighed down. Good luck!

It is hard to completely get rid of split ends without getting a hair cut, but you can cover them up with a little bit of olive oil on the ends. When I say a little bit I mean it because if you use to much it will make your hair look greasy.

You should get your ends trimmed professionally about once every six weeks. Don't let them trim to keep the length get your hair trimmed to promote healthy hair if that means getting rid of a lot of hair... go for it because in the long run that's the best way to go. ALso consult with a professional for tips on how to take care of your hair a t home (ie: washing and deep conditioning treatments)

I use 'Healthy Sexy Hair' its an oatmeal mask you put on your hair to protect it from everyday styling and pollution. I do it once a month and it seems to help. If you already have split ends you should get your hair trimmed then start preventing!

I faithfully use Garnier Frutis shampoo and conditioner. That usually repairs my split ends. If in doubt you can also have your hair cut. That gets rid of split ends too.

CUT THEM OFF!!!
some people have split ends that are really high and they're sad to cut so much of their hair...but honestly if you dont cut them completely off, they'll just split higher...Cut them all the way off and keep your hair trimmed

you cut them, thats why you need to trim your hair every now and then, just take about 1/2 an inch off. Using shampoo and other methods will help prevent them, but once their split chop chop.

Deep conditioning. Don't comb your hair when its wet. Get a trim at least 1 a month. Avoid heat as much as you can.

You basically are on damage control. Alot of deep conditioning and taking care of your hair.

Try Hair Repair
