Wigton dog training club is near Carlisle in North Cumbria and do both obediance and agility. You have to go to an obediance class befor agility as they want to ensure you have control of your dog and that he isn't aggressive as they are loose some of the time. The agility training happens near to Keswick.
This is an excellent club, with some of the best dogs in the country as well as people who go for fun and don't compete. The trainers have all competed at Crufts, and the junior team is doing exceptionaly well at the moment.
They run limited period introduction courses, of about 8 weeks I think, which are for people who have never done agility and want to try it out with their dogs.

Go to www.obedianceuk.com and look on the club profiles page. The contact details are listed there, alphabetically by club name.
There are also several clubs further south in Cumbria, Lune Valley and Eden Valley being two that I know of. Again contact details are on the above website. Although that is a website for obediance, the three clubs mentioned also do agility. They are always keen to welcome new members and Wigton is a really good club to train with, whether you want to do obediance or agility.

I too have a German Shepherd and have been taking her to agility classes for the last four months. I can't help with agility classes in Cumbria but I can tell you that you and the dog will love it! Some of the twists and turns can be a bit fiddly and you forget which hand to send them over/through the equipment with but that's all part of the fun. It does help if you are fit and your Shepherd will sit and wait until told to move. I hope you find a good class.

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://bitly.im/aOeoy

A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

The way I found trainers was to contact my local Agility club via email and asked for trainer referrals--tho an Obedience Club or general Dog Training Club may have suggestions for you as well. This is a great way to find one, as these folks take their training seriously and will suggest trainers they have used, know and trust to be good at what they do.

It's also important that you have a good solid obedience down with your dog, so if you have not done this yet, this is where you should start.

A well-trained dog makes everyone happy, including his owner. Take a little time training him, and you'll never regret it; you'll always have an obedient dog by your side. Find more https://tr.im/kwQpd

By their nature, dogs are pack animals with a well-defined social order. Through basic training, you need to consistently make sure your puppy understands that you are the leader, not him. So in teaching him the basic rules, you take on the role of pack leader.

To fit into the family circle, your dog must be taught to recognize his name and such commands as come, heel, lie down and sit.
