Like, When i turn my head, sometimes my neck cracks, is that normal? Im just wonderin, cause i strained my neck and back pickin someone up, and my doctor said it was muscle strain after pushin and proddin and askin questions. But ever since last week when it happened, when i turn my head, it cracks. Not every time, but is it normal? And my back did it to, right under my neck.

What's really happening when your neck & back "crack" is that you are either pushing the joint back into or out of its normal position. Joints are the meeting points of two separate bones which are held together by connecting tissues and ligaments. A thick, clear lubricant (made mostly of carbon dioxide and some nitrogen) called synovial fluid is found between the bones. When it gets stretched or pulled you hear a popping noise, you are causing the bones to pull apart. Pressure is reduced on the synovial fluid and bubbles form that quickly expand and then burst - which is why you get that noise.
If you ever get pain associated with the popping noise, be sure to go see your doc. again.

i believe it is..its basically popping your neck...i pop my neck and my back serveral times a day. but if its painful to you or anything then you might wanna get checked out, but if not, it sounds like youre just popping your neck.
