Someone else asked this question about a week or so ago. The simple answer is that there is no postcode for UK as such. A postcode in UK forms the last part of an address. For example: -
301 Faultworthy Street
London W1A 4WW

The six letters and numbers at the end of the address, W1A 4WW are the post code for that address and section of the street. For delivery purposes the postcode narrows down the delivery point to a couple of dwellings.

Hope that helps.

In the USA a postcode is called a 'zip code' - it does the same thing as above.

the place in Edinburgh? there are hundreds of postcodes used to disguise the city. all of them initiate "EH" yet thereafter they're all different. in case you have sufficient information of the handle the 1st link decrease than. If the link is for a particular consultation then attempt the 2nd link and click on the "come across a postcode" link on the website that looks. Edit: Catwoman, Edinburgh postcodes initiate EH1 and flow as much as EH17 for the main city, in case you take up outlying aspects they flow as much as EH55. for each of those codes there's a 2nd area of three digits. that's single integer (a million-9) accompanied via 2 letters. this provides a skill total some thing in some distance greater suitable than 6000 codes for each EH type... or some thing like 335 thousand achieveable codes for Edinburgh and area. without some thing greater to flow on your wager could be just about as good as mine for which of those could be the main suitable postcode for Ng.
