the car im looking at is a 96 p reg 1.3 encore do you this has pas?

No, it depends on the model.
Encore is a basic model it won't have PAS.

My wife's R reg Fiesta 1.25 Zetec doesn't have power assisted steering.
You won't notice much difference under normal driving conditions.
As long as you keep the front tyres at the correct pressure, it shouldn't be a problem.
Low speeds and parking can be a little heavy on the steering, but you get used to it.

No, few of the smaller engined fiestas had power steering but are still easy to drive at low speeds. The heavy diesel engined models however really do need power steering. You will probably find that most of the higher spec cars from around this time (ghia, glx etc) have power steering fitted.

No, the majority of '96 Fiestas were manual steering. There are some with power steering so check first if it's important to you.

No. some do have PAS but you get different types of 96' fiestas.

unfortunatly no. I have got an 's' reg 1300cc and thats got manual steering :-(
