Talking to this guy, I just want to get to know him and see what happens.
We dont call each other just hang out. I dont want to be clingy and dont know if he or I wants a serious thing.
I just want to chill and hang out for now.

If you're both cool with hanging out, but you want to take it up a notch to see what you can find out about him, then make a "date" to hang out.
Tell him you'd like to meet up at his house or your place to watch a movie and "hang out", go to a restaurant to grab some dinner and "hang out". The hang out phrase is unique in that it keeps both parties at ease and it doesn't conotate a "date situation" which can have both people on edge.
In any case, when you're "hanging out" alone, you can really pick his brain.

Be your self that is the only way to keep a guy intrested. And if you dont want things to get serious then dont let it get that far just continue to hang out and things will slowly fall into place.

Be sweet and smile. Also in later stages, not sleeping with him until he's committed will keep him around too.

usually talking about sports or other things he likes keeps us guys interested in talking to anyone. Find if he follows sports and if he does jus talk about that.
