What Is The Best OTC Appetite Suppressant? I have tried Hydroxcut and it hurts my stomach. Does anything truly help with hunger. I've recently had a knee replacement so exercise is very, very limited. I have cut out sugars, fat and sodium. Only eat fresh veggies and fruits. Only whole wheats. I am still famished. Would like to lose 25lbs. Thanks.

I've been taking Xenadrine & it helps curb my appetite. Unless it's my imagination, it seems I've been really thirsty since I've been taking it, which is a good thing because I've been drinking water like crazy!

The best thing I have ever tried was a product called AYDS, they look like candy, caramels, different flavors, butterscotch, chocolate, vanilla.

The only problem is with the disease AIDS I don't know IF that is why they quit making them or if they still do. I haven't seen any in a few years.

With the AYDS a person would take 2 before meals with a hot liquid like coffee and try to stay on a 1200 calorie diet, it worked for me and I would go back on AYDS if I could find a source.

I have a couple things that help me: First, I have found that if I keep a pitcher of lemon water by me on the table, desk or end table, then I drink instead of eat. Also, I buy seedless grapes and freeze them-- it is like eating a really good popsicle. OTC appetite suppressors can be dangerous. Find "real world" things that work for you.

Egg Whites!....high in protein (protein makes you feel full longer)...and contain zero fat.

Also...

Cottage Cheese w/ Fruit
Non-Fat Yogurt
Skinless Chicken
Peanut Butter (it contains "good fats")
Fish (tons of protein)
Lean ground Turkey
etc etc.

Remember...protein makes you feel full longer..and your body burns more calories simply trying to break it down. Not to mention, protein helps build lean muscle mass. You also need to distinguish between good fats and bad fats. For instance, olive oil is high in fat, but it's "good" fat. Bad fats are saturated fats.

I eat foods high in protein, low in sugar and saturated fats. Works like a charm.
