Honestly he probably has everything bought and prepared and ready to go. I would say suck it up for the day and pretend to love it for his sake. No need it letting the cat out of the bag yet. Did you know that a person can deveolp a food allergy (like seafood/ shellfish) you can go out to eat with out him and then explain some "weird feeling" you had after you got done eating lobster and that (for your own sake) you dont think you will be eating it anymore. Then explain how bad that sucks because his was so good. Simple fix. But you have to sell it like you love it this 1 time.

If you can't swallow it without gagging you are gonna hurt his feelings anyway. If you can manage to eat it without feeling sick, I would say to just suffer through it since tomorrow is v-day. He most likely has all the supplies he will need. If you know that he hasn't bought anything yet try to tell him as nicely as possible that you don't care much for lobster and you would really rather have (insert your favorite food). The best thing to do would have been to tell him as soon as you found out what he was cooking that you don't like it. Good luck!

It's reasonable to think it hurts them to be dropped in boiling water, but they do die quite quickly after that, so they don't suffer for long. When it comes to killing animals, speed equals mercy. I'm not convinced that being frozen alive is more pleasant than being boiled alive. In that freezing takes longer, it may be worse.

If he's your boy*FRIEND*, can't you just tell him that you don't like lobster? I don't like it either and some people can't believe it, but it's true. Not everyone likes the same thing...no matter how expensive it is, right?

That is very sweet of him - but he should consider your feelings 1st. You should speak up right away - Lobster is very expensive!
