My nutritionist said about the average cost per meal per person is $7. So 3 x $7= $21/ day give or take a bit.
$21 x 7 days = $147 / week
$147 x 4 weeks = $588 / month
But it also depends on what kind of food you are buying too.

For two people, I spend $80-90 a week, but we eat dinner out about twice a week, and my husband eats lunch out during the work week. I would estimate a single person that does most of their eating at home would need to spend $60-75 a week for groceries. But that depends on where you live and what you like to eat. A vegetarian in Texas will pay far less for groceries than a carnivore in Hawaii. Also, if you prefer mostly organic foods, your budget will have to increase.

There is no average, it depends on the kind of food you eat, do you eat meat or not etc. I never seemed to get away with less than AUS$70

It depends on your eating habits, what you like, if your ok with buying the cheap knock offs, etc... I spend about 50.00 per week. I eat mainly small snacks like fruit and yogurt throughout the day.

About $35-50/week depending on what you need. If you need to buy meat, it will cost more, if you just need the basics, it will be less.
