She cooked perfect steaks. No grill, just searing them and they always came out perfectly medium-rare/medium.
However what I miss is her salmon loaf. I'd beg for her to make that for my birthdays. Alas the recipe passed along when she did. I've never found another one like hers.

Although Dad was a much better cook you asked for Mom`s. I would have to say her Roast Beef dinner complete with Yorkshire Pudding.

My Mom was a cook all her life, so we ate a variety of foods. From the South I would say that her Gumbo with seafood and okra was wonderful. She made Banana Pudding from scratch---too good. And she made a bread that was fried like a hush puppy. But she made it with boiling water in cornmeal with green onions and cheese inside--I don't know what they were, she said her Grandmother taught her and she called them hush puppies.I believe they are a form of Native American fried bread, my Great Grand mother was Pocahontas Indian from Oklahoma...It was delicious anyway.....

My mom was not a very good cook. But if I had to chose it would be her Potatoe Soup or Beef Stew

My mom's roast beef and cheesy potatoes. She makes them the best. I can't even make them as good as her and I follow her recipe.

I loved it when my mom made kraut and weenies. She'd slice up weenies and fry them with kraut. That was also when we knew it was time to go to the grocery store!!! My brothers started calling it "crap and weenies." We still call it that to this day.
Also, my mom made the BEST peach cobbler. I still ask her to make it for me every now and then!
