To be honest i wouldn't be very comfortable with it myself. Id have a word with your husband and explain that although you dont doubt this mans intentions are just to help out with the kids whilst he is there you just aren't comfortable with him taking your 5 year old daughter to the toilet dont go in there all guns blazing telling him you wont put up with it as your husband will be defensive and say you are accusing this man of something and it will proabably cause a row and would upset your children.

NO IT'S NOT OKAY. That's just creepy, not to mention inappropriate. Why does a 5 year old need to be taken to the bathroom? They do it all by themselves at school by that age. You need to talk to your daughter and make sure she understands that she should tell anyone when someone is doing something that makes her feel 'weird' or uncomfortable. Nobody, NOBODY, has the right to touch her in any place that she feels awkward. I'm really surprised that you even have to ask this. The fact that you did should tell you that it is wrong.

Leaving out the gay angle, I don't think I'd be happy with an adult stranger, of either sex , taking a daughter or son of mine to the bathroom. Why is there any need? At 5 she could go on her own? Why doesn't her father take her if she needs to be accompanied?
No it isn't ok to me.

It's sad that we have to be overly cautious, but I wouldn't allow it. I just saw a new program last night that stated children are more likely to be sexually abused by people they know than perfect strangers. The media just makes it so that we hear about children being kidnapped by random people and abused. Why doesn't the children's own father supervise them as he should? It's your child too, and you can def. intervene if you feel uncomfortable! The fact that you even had to ask for others' opinions shows that you already doubt your husband's friends' interaction with your children.

Not in this lifetime. You know nothing about this man and deep down neither does your husband. A 5 year old should be going by herself anyway. Sounds creepy to me. My daughter is 4 nad goes by herself, She only calls me if she needs help and thats very rare.

I dont think so... Your 5 year old daughter should be able to handle the bathroom by herself, dont know why this stranger has to take her. Confront your husband on this.,

I would say that your daughter is probably old enough to go to the bathroom on her own. But the man may be harmless and just trying to help. Use your intuition, if it feels wrong, talk to him or your daughters father about how you feel. It would probably bother me also, if it was my daughter.

NO. This guy is not her father. He isn't an uncle. You need to say something to her father NOW.
If in the future, you have discovered that he is having a relationship with your husband, and they are making a commitment to one another, it still isn't okay.

No, I don't like that idea, I have an 8 year old daughter, and the only man I want in the bathroom if any would be her dad, STOP THAT CRAP IMMEDIATELY!
