A nice light salad is perfect as an accompaniment - make it interesting by adding a balsamic vinaigrette.

Or cook the steak with mushrooms and do Vichy carrots on the side (yummy!).

I think the best additions to a Sirloin steak are a nice baked potato with butter and sour cream and some nice green beans. Another good idea may be some portabella mushrooms and garlic mashed potatoes as well. Mmmm... now I am hungry.

Potatos are good either baked, mashed or whatever way you like them, so are steamed fresh vegetables. Salad is always a good start to the meal also. I would make some type of bread to go with it also.

Slow cooked fried onions, so they go all soft and sweet, turn the heat up at the end to crisp them up around the edges a bit. Field mushrooms sauteed gently with garlic and olive oil. Good old chips. Don't forget - mustard, tomato ketchup and worcester sauce on the side (any or all).

A fresh green garden salad with your favrite dressing and a baked potato with butter , sour cream, salt , pepper, and either chives, bacon bits or other favorite toppings. Some steamed asparagus spears makes a good vegetable for an elegant meal. Add your favorite desert for a special treat. Now that has made me hungry.
