The US military would be more than happy to take care of your little problem with violence world wide. If you don't mind the loss of life involved among innocent Muslims, go ahead, sit back and don't get involved. Make excuses and quote your holy book.

When are we going to see you gathering in the streets by the tens of thousands protesting terrorism as you do capitalism, zionism or unemployment in France?

For those of you who think that Christians can't be as judgmental as I'm being, let me reind you of Jesus' own words:

"Woe to the man who would harm a hair on the heads of one of these little ones."

You might also want to brush up on Matthew and Jesus' condemnation of the Pharisees. Shame on all of you if you think that the murder of men, women and children is so unimportant that you would rather criticize me than the ones killing those for whom our savior died.

Dude, u r rite. There will be no end to this, unless we start sitting together and really discuss about peace. As a muslim i'm sad about this. It is not what i've been taught. Yes, we would fight if we were being oppress by people who threaten our life and our culture value. But only after all peace talks have come to no availed. I think that is normal for all human being to react right. And thats the way my prophet taught me. The last thing in mind is to draw the sword. Peace and tolerence is first.

I think we expect too much of the 'moderate' Muslims. It would be too difficult and require too much bravery on their parts to stand up to their lunatic fringe. It is so much easier to hide behind 'Allah Ahkbar' as the responder who answered your question did in the end. Why isn't she in the streets with a sign. Perhaps it's because she feels that the radicals are only a little wrong and that the means (murder and terrorism) justify the end(universal Islamic rule)?
In her remarks she states:
'Remember its not the fault of Islam, it is people that do not follow whats in the Quran, you can never kill innocent people in the name of Allah (swt) - it is unislamic to do that.'
I will believe that as an answer when she explains to me why the very people who study the Quran the most and devote themselves to following Islam and Sharia law precisely are the very ones that are the lunatic fringe(against whom she isn't willing to demonstrate because they might kill her). No, I think the truth is evidenced by the actions of the many radicals, Islam is inherently evil and drives men to commit horrible atrocities in the name of a false G-d and prophet.
But I am not Islamic and still eagerly await a few hundred thousand of them that will answer your question by demonstrating against all terrorism. How long do you suppose we must wait?

I try very hard not to generalize about people, and I am sure that there are plenty of moderate Muslims, but they don't seem to speek much.

I am an agnostic Jew, and biased, but all I have seen from the Islamic community is condemnation of Israel and the west. Israel has made numerous mistakes, as has the US, in regards to the mid-east and Islam, but I see NO personal accountability on their part!

Do I support the cluster bombs Israel dropped on Lebanese civilian areas? I do not. I fail to see what strategic aim they served. It was a mistake.

HOWEVER....as much as I have seen the Islamic community condemn these acts, I have YET to see one condemn the kidnapping of Israeli military officers that lead to it!!!

Are Israel and the US perfect at all times? Of course not.

Does this excuse any and Islamic actions? Orf course not.

Before I can take Islamic criticisms of the west and Israel seriously, I need to see the same Islamic institutions look as critically at one another.

Criticize Israel...fine....criticize Iran, Iraq, Egypt, and Syria for throwing their Jews out in 48'.

Before I hear another word about Jerusalem, I demand the Islamic community renounce its former policy of refusing Jews access to the wailing wall. They demand toleration and acceptance....but when they were in control, they certainly didn't give any.

For the record, while there are plenty of crazy fundamentalist Christians, and some crazy extremist Jews....and there are many loving, moderate, Muslims.....the actual text of the Muslim faith REQUIRES more inherent dedication....or extremism...then the two other faiths. Neither Judaism or Xianity is as rigorous in directly controlling the secular, as well as non-secular, actions of its adherents.

What is it you a trying to provoke us to say? That I support the all the terrorists that are killing American soldiers in Iraq? Or do you want me to point to the fact that there was no war or killing in Iraq (to this scale anyway) since the US invaded? And don’t bother telling me about liberating people because that was never the justification given by the coalition forces for invading a sovereign state such as Iraq. Since when did the US become such a humanitarian, taking care of our problem with violence? CORCODILE TEARS! The US has had more wars in few hundreds year of history compared with nations that have been around for thousands of years.

As a muslim i do not agree with some of the things that have been happening in the world over the last few years.
Some people misinterperate the meaning of Jihad - the link explains what Jihad truly means.

Islam is a peaceful religion , you cannot blame Islam or ts true followers for the actions of those that are extremist, If the Quran says that something is not allowed then as a muslim you should not do what God has forbidden.

Muslims killing muslims may not be America's fault, but the USA goverment has inflicted alot of pain to thousands of innocent muslim people, I am not a fan of the USA govermennt, i believe that George Bush is the master mind behind alot of uneccesary violence & evil.

Remember its not the fault of Islam, it is people that do not follow whats in the Quran, you can never kill innocent people in the name of Allah (swt) - it is unislamic to do that.

I have answered your question in the best way i know how, trying to explain the truth about Islam.

Only Allah (swt) knows best.

Thank you, but those Muslims who know their religion fairly well are aware of the fact that Islam doesn't allow us to kill children, women, the elderly, religious leaders (Muslim or non-Muslim) during wars; neither are we allowed to destroy plants, animals, places of residence including hotels, restaurants, and such--- And this is even during WAR TIMES.
Sure, I know that Muslims ARE breaking that Islamic law, but how ignorant can one be to blame the RELIGION for it and NOT the people themselves? Who said most Muslims are following or representing Islam properly?
And who put the US military in charge of whatever goes on around the world? Why not fix its domestic probs before ATTEMPTING to fix INTERNATIONAL probs? Don't even get me started about what those domestic U.S. issues are.
And you don't know enough Muslism to claim that we're just sitting back and are not getting involved and are just quoting our Holy Book. Which ones and how many Muslims do you know? Osama Bin Ladin? Those other terrorists you hear about through your (anti-Islamic) media, with those terrorists claiming to be Muslims? I don't think it's right for you you and others to let THEM (these ignorant-of-the-TRUE-Islam Muslims) represent the ENTIRE Muslim community!
Peace and blessings be upon you, and have a nice day!

The US military has always made it worse when it tried to solve other countries' problems.

And protesting terrorism is ridiculous, you think terrorists give a crap about what we think? They wouldn't be kicked out and living in the mountains then, or in war zones.

Why not gather you say?

Well according to Islam, it's a sin to waste our time.

You do relize even if we protest against terrorism, won't really make things better. Osama won't be MAGICALLY caught just because we protest.

We'll have better luck praying to God rather than protesting.

So you're trying to talk sense to a bunch of lunatics? A true Muslim believes that you're either a Muslim or a Kafir (infidel, unbeliever) so what more is there to talk about? You can't talk sense in to these people, they're crazy. It's funny you will find a hundred quotes out of the Quran telling Muslims to kill the Kafirs, and to befriend Christians and Jews, but than you'll still have some clown Muslim throwing out a contradicting quote about peace.

Face it Islam is a religion of hatred, intolerance, and bloodshed, so you can tell them it's wrong all you want, but to them it's right.
