I hate to see a six year friendship go, but you have to do what you feel is right for you. We all have different barriers and different expectations. I have a best friend who has been my best friend for 24 years. We have been through very bad times and very good times. We kind of alternate on who does the calling. Sometimes she is a phone freak and sometimes it is me. Sometimes we go without talking for months. Not because we don't care, but because life is just so busy at times. If you really want to get your friendship back, I would send her a letter and tell her how you feel. Maybe you two can work it out or you will move on. Some friendships aren't meant to last. They are just for their current times.

Since you have made an effort to call her and she is not responding, then yes, by all means leave it alone. I don't know what it was that made you two friends mad at each other after being friends for so long, but whatever it was, friends usually should be able to talk it over. Seems as if she is not willing to do this. Maybe one day she will come to terms and start thinking of restoring the friendship you two once had. Good luck to you!

When a friend of many years suddenly has "too much on her plate for you" (one I've heard personally} it's time to realize she was never really your friend or she can no longer deal with some things. It can really break your heart if you really loved someone you thought was as close as a sister, but some friendships are just not meant to survive. If she no longer wants to be your friend it is time to move on. Oh, and as far as her bf? Don't sweat it, she'll leave him too sooner or later. Best of everything. God Bless.
Edit: You may always miss her -- I know I'll always miss my friend and I'll always love her -- No one can say for sure what tomorrow might bring. You may have to let her go, but you can always keep a part of her in your heart.

You've tried and she doesn't call you back.. what more can you do other than beg for her friendship. When her relationship ends she will be looking for a friend and when she finds she has none left, perhaps she will realize that just because you get a boyfriend it doesn't give you the right to treat your friends like crap!

Yes. All friendships can't be saved. Especially if she is not even willing to talk to you. Just let it go.

You've done what you can. If she doesn't want to even try and get over things, then I fear the friendship may be over.
Move on with your life.
