I have never heard of getting money for blood here (US). But you can get paid for donating plasma. My sister did that when she was in college for extra cash. From the sounds of it, it isn't a fun process.

In the US, both systems are used. Donor blood is considered a better source than paid blood, because the latter tends to come from a group that is at higher risks for diseases, and even the best screening tests are open to possible mistakes, but desperate times call for desperate measures.

to donate blood is very common phenomenon in 2nd world countries to gete money.. There are some people always donate blood after 3 months to get money. As blood bank system i not always efficient.

if an organization is going to pay you for blood, they most likely aren't very reputable in the US anymore.
but you can get paid for your blood plasma. most places pay about $25 dollars per donation, and you can donate twice a week with at least 48 hours in between.
