He was perfectly fine until yesterday, eating and drinking regularly. Yesterday he just out of nowhere started looking really thin, he is breathing really heavily and rapidly, and he has no appetite. He wasks around very slowly and acts as though he is guarding his belly or something. I am trying to find a vet for him right now, but I myself am stuck in the house with a horrible flu. I need something for him... poor thing looks like death warmed over.

You need to get him to a vet as soon as possible, could be one of the following.
1. Kidney failure
2. Diabetes
3. Flu

Cats can get the same sickness we get.
My cat was eating and doing great . then one morning I woke up and he was throwing up not eating just not himself. So I made an appointment with my vet and she told me he was a diabetic. Now we have to give him insulin 4 unites twice a day. He is doing great now. So get him to the vet as soon as you can.

If you can't get him to the Vet you need to find a friend or family member who can take him.

Your cat maybe seriously ill and the longer you but off getting him help the worse he's going to get.

Please, for the life of your cat find someone who'll take him to the Vet for you if you can't go yourself.

Ask if any vets make house calls. The cat needs medical attention now.

This sounds like a real emergency to me. You must somehow get him to a vet despite the fact you don't feel well yourself.

You will not die and your cat may.
