The CD works perfectly, I have installed it on the other pc. I am not understanding why is that! Is it the HD?

Possible CD damage.....if you installed this on one system and tried installing it on an exact same computer then i would say it was the CD drive not reading...But if the second pc is of a diffrent type then diffrent files may be needed and might be corrupt..

just to be sure though just swap out you cd drive with a known working one and if it doesnt work then, well you know it;s the CD..

If the version of Microsoft Windows is an "OEM" edition, then it your license to use it is additionally tied into a specific computer. It is possible that the hard disk disk or the optical disk reader is faulty in the second machine. Test by booting from a legal operating system - such as a Knoppix LiveCD.

Try installing UBUNTU instead. It's a free, reliable and up to date operating system. Also, all of the programs are FREE!!!

be very sure it isn't scratched or dirty try using a different CD drive if it still dose the same thing the harddrive or the board is bad
