A mate of mine is looking at buying a used £11,000 TVR Cerbera but has been warned about their unreliability and constant expenses. Should he buy one?

NOT A CHANCE - CRAP CARS - unreliable is not the word I would use to describe this automotive heap of shite!

If he has been warned then he knows the risks. They are very much an enthusiasts car and cant be relied on to start every time. They are also expensive to fix, especially now the factory is shut. Good pose though.

the company has all but collapsed which is usually a good discription of the cars.
tell him not to buy it.
he'll look like a to$$er driving it too.

No - While they look nice, they do have big reliability issues and parts are expensive, and are frequently replaced
