It should not be a problem as long as the plaster is dry normally4/5 days in summer time, longer during the winter. Dont be tempted to force the drying by the use of too much heating as this can cause the plaster to craze and crack. Also i would advise that you seal the plaster with some PVA bonding as this will stop the tile cement from drawing any moisture out of the wall and preventing the cement from setting and causing the tiles to fall off. This will of course prolong the time to complete the work, but at least you wont have to go back and redo the tiling like i have had to in the past.

its all dependant on your circumstances and how the plaster has been put on, whether its been bonded an skimmed or boarded etc and how much moisture is in the area of the room,
as its damp at the moment if u dont need to tile yet i would leave it until dry, about ten days,

I think I'd get some fans and move the air around to accelerate the drying. I would be sure it was dry, seal it and then tile.

Good Luck

Probably, I'd wait till it's dry, then coat with Unibond and water, that will help the tiles to stick to the wall and seal it!

yes it is. Wait until the plaster is dry. Remember your builder works for you. Take control and tell him he has to wait.

Do not seal it with PVA if you are going to tile over it, read this-
