Coffee yes , tea no...I make a large cup of tea and enjoy having to sip it when its too hot, them being able to drink it when has cooled enough. I also don't mind if I forget about it and drink it 1/2 hour later when its stone cold.

I'm with you. There's always a temptation to lash into the coffee when it's too hot, and then you suffer. I'd drink it cold if I had to, for the hit, but it's not pleasant. Normally, I have it timed to a 'T' to suit me, but variables like aircon really mess it up.

I'm not a great fan of tea, with the exception of any of the prohibitively expensive blends from southern China. Green tea from that part of the world can be drunk hot or cold.

If I am drinking coffe and start out so hot it melts the cup, I can sip it till it is ice cold and never flinch. If the first sip is cold I will gag on it.
