Showers are more popular all over the world...Most nations do not use bath tubs. The usage of water solely depends on the length of the shower , of course, but overall a short shower takes less water than a full tub. Yes..a shower with the mate can save water ( one less shower )...as long as you do not get to busy when the water is running...save that for the bed.

If I shower with my wife we usually end up taking a much longer shower than we would normally, so I think it uses more water :)
Bath is nice but I don't have time for it in the morning. Plus I always end up having to shower after a bath anyways to get the soap off.

A shower uses less water. About taking a shower with your mate, not sure.

shower for the convienence factor which also saves water. of course you save water if you shower with your mate. it's a 2 for 1. haha

The best thing to do is just go out into your front yard and "hose off." That ensures the neighbors will see you are cleaning yourself, as well, yes the local water supply will be preserved. Hosing off your mate is also convenient, just watch the pressure of the hose. Good luck.
