The lady who cut my hair told me my hair is split all the way up to the roots, and that Biolage Tonic spray would "cure" this. I never thought anything could really fix split ends. Is there a product I should use for this? Is the Biolage stuff a good fix? Or should I not bother? I use a CHI flat iron about once a week.

Yeah I agree with everyone that my hair is definitely not really "split up to the roots". I never thought that anyway, but it does get a lot of split ends.. everyone's hair get them though

Straightening your hair daily can lead to dry hair and brittle, split ends. There is no CURE for split ends. You must cut them off. Sorry ! :) Use a good heat protectant serum when straightening your hair, this will help considerably with the dryness and split end problem in the future. I like the CHI oil.
Good luck!

If you have split ends all the way to the roots, your hair must be in pretty bad shape! The only way to "repair" split ends is to have them cut off. Maybe she was just trying to sell you some product or something. Get a second hair opinion.

the way I take care of my split ends is to cut my hair myself every 4 to six weeks. I trim the ends. Split ends are caused by excessive blow drying. Chemicals to your hair, dying, and curling irons. Try to find gels, without alcohol and use conditioners, sometimes leave in conditioners are great for hair dryness.

Using a Chi only once a week shouldn't have caused you to spit your hair all the way up to the roots. I suggest going to a new hair stylist because this one doesn't seem to know what they are talking about.

trimming your hair and using a conditioner is good enough to have a healthy hair,i always put a johnsons bby oil every night before I go to bed, only the tip of my hair, sometimes its all because your hair is dry that causes to have split ends,

Sorry she is misleading you to sell products to you...there is no fix to split ends...the only solve is to stop doing the things that you are doing to your hair that is causing it to be damaged...and to keep trimming and letting it grow out. Good luck.

I think sprays and products are just a temporary fix, they won't actually repair the hair permanantly.

every four to six weeks you should get your hair trimmed along with a good shampoo and conditioner,if your hair is that stressed i would recommend a hot oil treatment every now and then.
