If you don't like nutmeg just leave it out altogether because you only use very little of it.

You could substitute any other sweet, Christmassy sort of spice - cinnamon, ground cloves, maybe ginger. Mace would also be good - its the stuff round nutmegs so has a flavour that's related if not quite the same - but if you don't have any nutmeg I'm guessing you probably don't have any mace either!

Cinnamon would be best if you have that. But I think that nutmeg is little stronger of a flavor, so maybe a little extra than what the recipe says. You can probably add a little vanilla extract too.
