If it helps your connection and religion to God...it helps.
If it becomes the conception how God really is...it limits and ultimately harms you.
It is not wrong...but has its own dangers (like every option of conception).

No (you wont go to hell), but I think it is an attempt to understand something beyond your comprehension. Then again I think god is an attempt to understand something beyond your comprehension all together and almost certainly doesn’t actually exist (at least not like a biblical type god with the robes and Jesus and all that). The universe is a stranger place than you could ever imagine.

No, it's not wrong. As long as the image you have is not disrespectful it's perfectly normal. I always see God the Father as a wise, loving, merciful and caring old man. It does help me relate much better...

No, not realy. I'm not really a big believer in religion mumbo jumbo, however, when I was little I used to ioimagine that God was a huge blue man with an orangle glow and a massive smiling face. Oh & he wore red shoes too. Random!

Yes, it does help me to imagine the noodly appendages dangling down below those two meatballs, and the sauce dripping gloriously down to the Earth below. I agree with Bert, though - I just can't see a robe or beard fitting him.

Have you already tried to imagine your god as a plate full of spaghetti with two meatballs in it? There are many people around who claim that helped them in their spiritual life (let alone their real life). And understanding religion as well.

maybe it is, maybe it isnt.
But just ponder this one question- why would G-d look like man? Why would he wear a white robe? Why would he have a beard?
Isnt he infinite?

Why would it be wrong to use your imagination? If it helps you, it is fine.
