* When I was a child, I remember the good taste of it.
* In the whole tin, it was so hard to find similar type (identical ones), as there was lot of varieties.
* Plus there was a special valuable gift in every tin.
* I am talking about its real quality was in 1960s.
** At the moment most of the sorts are of inferior quality with some u cann't chew!!

Don't know but I bought a large tin at Xmas and was very dissapointed at the new selection offered. And yes you are right the large round Gold Foil Toffee now lacks that old taste. Presume it is cutbacks or substitute ingrediants being used now with preservatives. Bring back the old days I say!!!

Maybe is just the condition of your teeth...you been munching those Quality Street for a few years by the sounds of it!

those toffees can really take your teeth out,happened to me.
no idea why it is called quality street,its not good,same as roses.does anybody eat them when its not xmas.
