We have custody of my husband's 2 nephews. The boys are 7 and 9 years old. They get overnight visits with their mother and we found out yesterday that she allows them to play Grand Theft Auto while they are there. She has told them not to tell us that she lets them play that game. I know it's not a game for a child of any age to play and I know a few things about the game. Before I confront the mother with her choice of allowing them to play that game I want some more information from someone who has played the game. What kind of inappropriate things take place in the game?

I would think that the name of the game would serve as enough evidence. Now, I am sure you will get a thousand saying it is just a game and you are too uptight, etc.
What I suggest is this.
Simply say to her that the fact you and your husband need to have her kids shows that she has a messed up system for deciding many things in life, to include what is right or good or reasonable. Then tell her that you are sure that this game is fine with her, which should be a clue that you are correct about her being goofed in the head.

Tell her you know of someone that allowed her kids to play this game. When they kids got older, they kept playing it. Only this time they really stole a car, crossed state lines with it and were charged with grand theft auto. Once a month this woman visits her kids in prison.

The game is mostly about stealing cars and killing people. There are alot of guns involved in it. When u shoot someone blood goes everywhere. I would say that it isn't appropiate for kids under 16 to play. Tell her that u think the video game is too graphic for the kids to be playing.

I think it is a game based around being a good person and living a good life from what I have heard. You can buy small little animals and raise them, then you can go help down at a homeless shelter. It's pretty fun. Let the kids play the game.

All things sex, violence, etc.
I was 18 when i started playing that game with my brother. And I loved it. but i had to stop playing it because it gave my horrible nightmares of killing ppl. and stealing their cars and running over ppl. with the cars.

well it teaches Stealing cars,beating pedestrians for their cash,picking up hookers to gang baning,everything else in between. In short the whole
premise is a gangster training tool.

Pretty much anything that you would think is offensive is included in this game. Sex, gratuitous violence, gangs, and more sex and violence.
