Why do drama queens, that like to gossip and "stir the pot" seem to have a lot of friends? It seems to me that most people should try to avoid these personality types. It is due to the fact that it is very bad for their relationships with other people. Yet they seem to have a lot of friends. Why?

It seems as if it's because the actual "Drama Queens" are the ones who admit they are actually "Drama Queens." The rest either see them as a better person, were good friends with them already, have no friends, or are Drama Queens themselves, they're just quiet about it.

Those 'friends' are actually not friends. They are just like pieces of crap hanging on the drama queen's name. Drama queens have a lot of these things because these 'friends' find that befriending the drama queen is the best solution so that they will be free from any gossips/rumors.(they're friends right? so why would the drama queen make rumors about her 'friends'?)

Because there are more followers out there than leaders. Drama queens tend to be leaders though not all are. The followers are sycophants unable to think for themselves and ready to subscribe to a Drama Queens agenda.
I'm not sure which is worse.

Every actor MUST have an audience
and, with the rabid influence of entertainment on today's society
It simply follows that a Drama "Queen" would have people
"following" close by so that they have the audience that they need to be "successful"---- the audiences usually are people who have so little going on in thier own lives that if it weren't for the "scenes" that they were stickiing around for wasn't happening-- they would be the people sitting around watchng paint dry !!!!

Have you ever heard of the saying "keep your friends close, and enemies closer"? If so, then you'd know why people keep drama queens close....................so they don't have the opportunity to talk about you too. Sounds like a stupid excuse, but it's the reason I stayed close to drama queens when I was young, now that I'm older I tell them to get a life. lol

Its simple they get lots of attention and lots of sympathy for putting up with said drama queen they also look normal when compered to the drama queen...

Drama queens opt for solid acquaintances so that they have got someone to "sparkling out on" and someone who's prepared to take heed to. in addition they opt for solid advice and help! Gossipers actually have acquaintances oftentimes because they're aslo gossipers and thats how they get their "recent information". they'd also be acquaintances with the gossiper so that they wont have rumors about themselves and so that they wont be backstabbed.

It is wrong, one of lifes little frailties ! The friends aren't real friends though they seldom ever have any real friends !
