You can just read the book, pay the fee, and take the test. Your best source for education is www.iiaa.org - and you can buy study materials from them, too.

Well, I don't live in Delaware, so I don't know if you have certain requirements for classroom study. In TN, you have to complete so many hours of classroom study depending on which license you are trying to get. When I went through the course myself, I found it to be very helpful to have classroom instruction. There are a lot of terms that can get very confusing, and it helps to have someone available that can answer your questions in order for you to pass your pre-licensing test. For instance, in the class that I took, we took several practice tests, and afterwards, would go over the answers, and everyone was allowed to ask questions about the material. Sometimes, just hearing another person's take on something can be all the difference in understanding.

Best of luck to you. The tests that I took in property/casualty and life/health in TN definitely were not a piece of cake. I was very thankful that I had in-class instruction.

I really hope this helped.

Personally, I ordered the book, and went to the class. It's only 5 days long, and I feel you would really benefit from the learning experience in the class. The test, is a killer!

Wish ya the best though! I love insurance!
