After 69 comes 60+10 and after 60+19, 4x20, yes, it seems weird.
The Belgians use to say septante (70). ottante (80), nonante (90) (not sure with the spelling)

I learned to count to 100 at the age of 4, in french, and I am italian, but that was basically all I could speak in french, now I am very fluent in French, Spanish, Italian, English, German and Portuguese...and if I would tell you my age you would not believe me. Anyways
