Check out all company websites to see if there are any work at home posts in customer service, telemarketing, data entry, medical and legal transcriptionists. There is, in fact, a big trend towards working at home, thanks to the advent of computers, and many people with disabilities and afflictions can be just as productive.

I found working in 'sales' to be manageable - for some reason, the fact that there was a counter in front of me, made me feel slightly safer. I think its just a case of trying things and seeing what fits with you - I also enjoyed working as a nursery nurse, as I knew that I was good at it - that improved my confidence enough that I was able to push away alot of my fears when dealing with parents and other members of staff.

I hope you can find something that suits you, it is heartbreaking to want that social connection with people, yet being too afraid to. People don't seem to understand how very real and frightening this condition is. Be wary of online work, there are alot of scams around. Don't forget to use your local job centre - they are there to help you get in to work, and will have people who can advise you on possible careers. Good luck :)

You can work online. Sales is probably out of the question in your case, but there are plenty of opportunities available in "Affiliate Marketing", "Getting Paid to complete surveys, complete offers, and read email", and if you have a gift for writing, you can always become an online journalist. CONTACT ME if you are interested in any of these things. I can point you in the right direction.

I'm not so bad as you are but I liked working at toys r us because there were toys around and I understand kids better then adults.
Maybe computer hardware repair... my brother started that way and he can't stand being around people... but he gets paid decently for doing it.
