We don't accept either prophet as a prophet.
We don't complain about Muhammad, you'll actually hear more Chr*stians complaining about him than us. We don't like J*sus either because he blasphemed against G-d and converted millions out of our religion and then his ideas led those followers on crusades and inquisitions specially designed to kill us.
Not even that, but in Biblical times he wasn't accepted because he DID NOT FULFILL THE GUIDELINES SET DOWN IN THE TANAKH (Jewish Bible) and I cannot repeat this often enough. He didn't. Joseph (his supposed earth father) was not from the line of David, as messiah is supposed to be. And the lineage is passed through the father. So if he was immaculately conceived, as people say, then he really isn't messiah because Moshiach MUST be from the line of David.
He also did not fulfill any of the obligations before dying, such as bringing all the Jews back to Israel, rebuilding the Temple in three days, world peace, etc. (I can give scripture for these plus many more) and his "miracles" were practiced by himself, not as per instruction by G-d as in Biblical times. (J*sus did as he pleased, while in the Bible G-d commands Moses, Aaron, Elisha, etc to do something and it is done.)
Finally, we don't believe he was born by any miracle, but a lie, that he provided any miracles and the ones he did were easily copied today, was never married (in Judaism, marriage is a mitzvah!) and has brought thousands of years of violence upon us. (Inquisition, Crusades, Holocaust)
The reason we don't believe in Muhammad or J*sus is that there ISN'T any evidence for us to, according to our scriptures, especially adding in the fact that both people tried to change and mess with the laws in the Torah--and G-d Himself said to us that no letter of the law shall EVER be changed.

Jews don't believe in Jesus as God because we believe in one God and when you start adding up God the Father and God the Son and God the Spirit - according to our math...you have three and not one.
In any case, our beliefs are based on the Torah and a guide book of ethical and moral living. If you take away Jesus, you have no religion. If you take away Mohammed, you have no religion. In Judaism, we don't have any single prophet who determines the worth of the whole religion because we have the Torah, which teaches us how to live and behave morally and ethically.
The reason we don't believe in Jesus or Mohammed as prophets is because our religion says that those who speak against the ways of the Torah are false prophets - both Jesus and Mohammed went against the laws of the Torah. As for Mohammed, well, we don't believe that murdering innocent people in order to get 72 virgins is a way to martyrdom. A religion based on terrorism and murder...well, that just isn't the Jewish way.
As for Jesus - well, let's say this...if Christians would follow the teachings of Jesus...and not blame the Jews for things we didn't even do...the world would be a better place.
And, for Mohammed...if the Moslems would follow the Koran better - and not their leaders who twist it to get what they want - there too, the world might be a more peaceful place.
As for Jesus being born "among us" - we aren't the ones who "claim" that, the Christians are. Yes, Jesus never declared war or killed anyone - if only the followers of Mohammed could say the same thing.

you truly need to verify the Gospel of John. Jesus states that the miracles that God executed have been for the Jew to have self assurance. yet some did no longer. at present, after a 2000 years, you will right here the comparable explanation including Jesus did no longer thoroughly fulfill the standards of the Jewish Messiah. That Jesus wasn't a prophet. Or that God did no longer raised Jesus from the lifeless. So your question would desire to examine: if Jews did no longer have self assurance Jesus, why would they ever have self assurance Muhammad.

the reason that jews accept neither jesus nor mohammed as a prophet is due to the changes they made to the torah. G-d states in the torah that anybody who tries to change the torah is a false prophet. mohammed basically rewrote the torah, whereas jesus basically threw it out and said that his law was the new torah. if they had not done this, jews would probably have viewed them differently. but the fact is that G-d said that the torah is eternal, and all of the true prophets G-d sent came to draw people BACK to the torah, not to take them AWAY from it like jesus and mohammed did.

Or perhaps because Jesus lived among them they know the true story whereas the pagans and hethens that were converted to Christianity and now believe that Jesus was a god do not know the story.

some ppl are blinded to the truth
many ppl believe what they r taught without seeking the truth themselves
it is like most christian denominations, even though there r some obvious false teachings(with proof from bible scriptures) , ppl still hold to their man made traditions
all u have to do is preach the gospel , for the bible says "one sow, the other harvest".u r planting a seed w/what ur doing right now.leave the rest to God u dont have to try to win souls using human wisdom.
everything u do 4 the kingdom of God, He will remember
God Bless

The oneness and universality of God's message requires that people accept all the messengers of God. Rejecting one of them amounts to rejecting them all. The Jews reject Jesus's mission and Muhammad's mission; the Christians reject Muhammad's mission; whereas the Muslims accept them all, but reject incorrect historical interpretations and human elements in these missions.

As far as I know, some of the Jews believe in Jesus Christ. They are called 'Messianic Jews'.

I don't think that this is an issue to which one can apply and either/or question. We simply believe in niether because that's our religion. You can do whatever you want in your religion.
