I asked a British guy to do an American accent one time, and he did John Wayne.....

yeah they do, it's pretty funny actually. I worked with a British guy a while and he liked to do an American accent.

I'm Irish, and I don't like the British or the American accent. Of course I'm talking about the general American accent because I do like the Southern American accent. I just feel that the American accent has this tone about it that can be very annoying. And i'm actually indifferent about the British accent because I hear it so often. I just don't hear anything different/special or interesting about the British accent.

Imitating John Wayne is more than getting an accent, I think that if you sound very dumb, you may make others believe you have an american accent...

There isn't one british accent. Britain is made up of four countries, each with its own set of accents. There are huge differences in accents even within one country.

Just as foreigners tend to think there is one single british accent, the british tend to think of an american accent as the one spoken by all the hollywood actors/actresses.

All the time, 90% british music artists sing in american accents...unfortunately.

watch friends where ross copies the english... thats a classic. but who wont take piss outa the americans?theyre clowns man. haha
the character Jonathan from Mummy returns.... says " americans..." all the time.. ooo the american and british rivalry is there!!lol..
but newez.. i dnt think americans can copy it exactly. british english is better and more fluently spoken in clear words

like british say WATER.. americans say "WA-TAAA!" or "Wa..rr..taa"lolzzzz.nike? NIKEY!
adidas for UK.. ADEEEDAS for americans (thats in pronounciation wise am sayin.. no spelling difference)

I have asked that question before and my friends just sit there and look at me funny. Thats like....do people down south try to talk like people in the North...
