I have noticed that anything said critical about Islam is usually backfired by having tons of e-mails going onto Yahoo! asking to censor that question. Although some Christians do the same for Christian questions, I find it that Muslims seem to do it as a norm. Why is this? Why is it that every time someone says something negative about your religion you urge to silence them? Personally that makes someone like me believe that your god/religion is weak because it can't stand against rational argument.

I will even put a wager on this that I will end up having this question reported regardless of how respectful I think I have just been.

I am muslim, and i do not delete or remove questions that was asked toward muslims. I actually answer them to the best of my knowledge. Anyways, many times those questions you talked about, are irrespectful, and mean in most case. And if i was to blasphem on your religion, if any, i don't think you'd have a smile on either. This is why. We live on the same planet, same world. Why don't you put your hate in your pocket, and just try to live as humans?!.... I am not asking you to love us, but at least just respect. Its the key word here. My entire family is christian, and i respect every one of them. If you think you know Islam by learning from the medias, i would suggest you to read books my friend. The "real" islam, is nothing about fights and war. The real islam, that i follow, is peace and love. I would never hurt anyone. Anyways, enough said, have a great day.

you will find that it is the norm with muslims at the moment as there are considerably more questions to do with Islam and Muslims than any other religion.

I dont believe that any religion likes to be attacked in the way that Islam is at the moment and the only reason for it is a few people taking matters to extreme. I am Muslim and I dont believe in killing at all for any reason and I do not condone what is going on but I also think that the amount of attacks on Muslims on Yahoo is extreme. People also seem to gerenalise on here and say we muslims are all the same!!! Why wouldnt we want questions like that censored? Would you want to be banded with terrosists?

I have not attacked other religions. At the end of the day religion is personal to the individual and how they live their lives by a set of rules and morals. If you study each religion you will find that they are all VERY similar in how they are advising you to live your life.

If you want to understand different religions then I would advise that you study each one then you will see the similarities etc. Islam is not a bad faith and is very much like Christianity in fact parts of the bible and the Koran are the same if you read them. The morals and principles are the very similar and Islam does not condone killing.

People seem to like being nasty and vicious for no other reason apart from boredom as far as I can see. Read some of the answers you have been given already and see how many rational people and answers you have been given!

You have been very respectful and I doubt that the question will be reported and even if it did it will not be removed.

You have to keep in mind that Yahoo answers is not run by Muslims and they have community guidelines that they apply across the board.

So don’t deny anyone his right to report what he feels doesn’t fit those guidelines after all it is up to Yahoo to remove it and not up to the abuse reporter.

God bless

People are offended by being insulted, I thought that was a natural response, not all things are reported, only the really bad ones like why did allah turn all muslim kids into pigs! Wouldn't you be offended too?

You can ask whatever you won't, just don't offend me and hurt me by insulting my believes, i guess that most of the questions reported were insults or said in a very disrespectful way.

I honestly think it's the yahoo admin staff, when you post a question, certain keywords are searched for, if one or two are found in your question, it immediately goes to a mediator/admin staff member who checks your question if it is ok to post, if not, it doesn't get shown in the questions, it just gets deleted.
the exception is obbviously when it's posted, it then gets reported. But when it's checked by muslim staff members before posting, if they are offended it gets deleted.

Some questions are deliberately insulting, and full of lies. People may believe that, as many have.
