Jesus was not questioning God; he was quoting the first line of Psalm 22 - a deep expression of the anguish he felt when he took on the sins of the world, which caused him to be separated from his Father. THIS was what Jesus dreaded as he prayed to God in the garden to take the cup from him (26:39). The physical agony was horrible, but even worse was the period of spiritual separation from God. Jesus suffered this double death so that we would never have to experience eternal separation from God.

It may be deficult for you to understand. *Doubting you have a bible to refer to.

Jesus spent all 33 years on earth walking in God's footsteps. The night he was captured, he prayed that, if God would be okay with it, his true calling (to die for our sins) would be passed to someone else. He did this because he knew that good and evil cannot co-exist in the same body. When he cried out those words (because he did), at that point he was as far away from God as he's ever been and he didn't like that. (Remember he was taking on the sins of all man - past, present, and future)

When you hear people crying out to God and saying that he's left them out by themselves, they are experiencing similar pains.

Simple: Jesus can sense that his Father has withdrawn protection from him to allow his integrity to be tested to the limit. So, that’s why Jesus said these words.
