I can explain this in a two-way street verdict. From experience, I refuse to go out with friends, when I consider them not good for my personal image (they have a nasty reputation) or sometimes friends want to go out with people to give the public higher perception of them. Some people are snobbish and always look for the crowd with more status. Crazy exemple; you would die to be seen hanging out with the most popular girl/guy at school, rather than the fat, lonely kid in class! Some people hate to admit that they're saving for something big and doesn't want to tip their savings if they spend with friends.Sometimes, girlfriends change when they get a new boyfriend. I know someone in a similar situation. She will only hang out with friends again when she's been dumped or she needs her friends most when her relationship is on rocks. Maybe, there''s something about you or ur personality they don't like???
Either way, you should address the situation head on, and if they're ur REAL,close friends it won't kill to talk and express what you feel calmly. Otherwise you never get an answer for your own case. I can advise to forget about them, but if the other apects of friendship is perfect, then talk, and see if the other positive weighs out most.

I have a freind like that! When ever her life is going wrong, she wants to be around me 24/7, normally cos I listen to her help her and stuff, when her life is back on track she never bothers with me, never calls, textx, e-mails unless I make the effort and half the time doesnt answer or return calls and text. She always to busy to see me! Well I just stopped chasing and putting in the effort, Have my own life to lead and other mates... Freindships are two sided, works both ways! Forget them and move on!

I do that a lot with a specific friend! I like my friend but don't want to be alone with him just in case he voices the fact that wants more than friendship and I'll have to refuse as I don't like him in that way. But if we are going out with other friends it fine. Try organising a group thing and see if they'll come!

Get rid for sure, life is too short to waste time on people that don't make effort. Are you doing anything that would give them a reason not to want to hang out?

Are they friendly in other ways? Do you value their friendship? If so, I'd give it one last go, and tell them so! Say "This is the last time I'm trying to arrange something. Why don't you want to go out?"
You never know, they might not be allowed to go out with you, might have parental issues, or you might dress funny.

Get some REAL friends who care enough about you to make the effort.
