IWe were out for 4 hours that day just to get to know eachother. We emailed eachother once on Sunday and he called me later that night, but the conversation wasnt very long maybe 40 min. Today, Monday came and went. I have not heard from him at all, not even an email. Part of my family has met him. He thought they were great and was happy to meet them. The only thing is, is I dont wait around for no guy if I dont hear from them. But my family is telling me to just wait and see. I have not heard back from him since Sunday. Not even an email today or a voice message. Valenties day is tomorrow and nothing. So I figured I email him today and ask him if he is still interested or is it CLEAR he is not? He is 30 I am 25.

There's a reason that jokes fly about guys not calling after dates - they rarely do. You talked to him for 40 minutes the day after your date - that is a VERY long time in guy time. Most guys won't call for 3 or 4 days after a date because they don't want to seem to desperate. Since you've only been out once maybe he doesn't think it's appropriate to ask you out for Valentine's Day. Your family is right - wait it out. There is no need to talk to someone every day in the beginning of a relationship, and if you try, he'll think you're the desperate one, and then he'll never call. If he doesn't call by Saturday, then you can move on.

Oh my, what is the hurry? At the pace you are desiring, most men are just going to be scared of you! You just had a date Saturday, you talked on Sunday. You say 40 minutes is not a "long call". OMG, for a man, that is a VERY long call.
Please be patient friend. You do not know his work schedule, or what is going on with him right now. He sounds like he is right on target as far as contact with you. He has actually done a better job than many other men would.
You are expecting a lot too soon. Many men could classify that as sounding needy and demanding. Do yourself a favor if you really like this guy, step off the gas pedal and be patient. Otherwise, you just may scare him off for good. Oh, and just because it is Valentines Day does not mean he owes you anything. You are not in a relationship. You had one date-thats it.

because:
1) he might be preparing a surprise for VD.
2) he might just be afraid to look desperate (guys go through that every time. should I call yet?)
3) he might not dare to make a VD move after only 1 date, because he is afraid to freak you out.
And if he is just a jerk. What do you care what he does on VD or any other day.
I would email a friendly "how are you doing?" and give him a chance to make a move.

Well some guys like to wait a certain number of days before getting in touch again, but to me it sounds like he's just not that into you. If a guy is interested he'll make sure you know it. There's someone better out there for you :)

Waiting is horrible but you should. Please do not reach out to him.
A guy likes to pursue and especially in the beginning if the woman is agressive, it is a turn off. I know that sounds old fashion, but every guy I am friends tells me this..
HOLD OFF ON THE EMAIL...

I think he is holding out on you.
He's probably spoken with his mates, & they have told him not to act to keen.
If you haven't heard from him by lunch tomorrow, send him a text & say Happy Valentines Day.
Whats the harm in that.
Maybe he has just been really busy.

Well it seams you dont know him that well so you dont know whats going on with him in his life.
Email him and c what he says. if he writes back normally with no excuse than hes not intrested in you .
if he says he was in trouble or busy than its ok. so you have to have feedback on it .
So dont wait so long email him if he dosent answer call him ..good luck
