SKK hit it right on the head, but there's an additional factor to go with the superstar thing. In the NBA, more then any other pro sport, it's almost impossible for a small-market team to attract and sign and big name free agent or head coach. The Lakers have been dominant this decade because they have had Phil Jackson and Kobe and Shaq. For all three of those guys, the Lakers were just about the only team they'd consider signing with. Phil wasn't going to go coach in Denver or Philadelphia, no matter how much money they threw at him. It was going to be the Lakers or the Knicks, and that's pretty much it. Similarly, Kobe made it know before the draft that the Lakers were the only team he'd consider signing with. Nobody else had a shot at him. Shaq signed with the Lakers when he became a free agent because he was going to become the first basketball/rap/movie triple-threat star. He wasn't going to accomplish that in Orlando, or Dallas, or anywhere else but LA. Things like that are what make the continued success of small market teams like the Spurs even more amazing. Sure, they got lucky twice when they managed to draft Robinson and Duncan. But the Spurs managed to hang on to both of those guys through their whole careers, when there were certainly lucrative offers and brighter lights elsewhere.

Tell me something how come linfield have won over 200 trophies
and you choose to over look the facts that linfield is the most honoured football club in the world.

linfield had over 180 cups back in 2000 almost double that world record of rangers .

As for your european records what have rangers won you not even been to the finals of any of the european cups that exist.

Yet celtics name appears on both of them how do you explain that .

And as for giros Remember last year JJB deal when 300 loyal ranger employee started to collect them.

But your fans belong in the zoo, they are the most ugly, inbred, obnoxious, smelly orange b.astards that have ever walked the earth. European success eclipses domestic success, plus when will you win a domestic trophy???????????????

contrary to your stupid boasts does winning a domestic championship more than anyone else suggest that they are the worst team ever to play in the big one as they never done fcuk all and had more miserable failures than the dick advocaat ever produced with his wasted millions?...is their a world record for stupidity bet you would walk that one as well?
