Whoever, told you that does not know the Bible. According to Scripture, Jehovah is the Most High. (Ps. 83:18) Jesus called his Father the only true God. (John 17:3)
It was not God who came to earth to die for mankind; it was God's Son. (John 3:16, 17)
Gnosis above said: "God is immortal and cannot die but Christ had two natures in the one person,Human and Divine, the human nature of Christ suffered death and by His divine nature Jesus rose again from the dead." Does this make sense to you?
The trinity doctrine is vey confusing. It will have one thinking that God is his own Son, and that when God died, he was still alive in the heavens. Such reasoning goes against the Bible. The trinity is a false doctrine.

The Jehovah Witness' say Jesus is "a" god. Jesus said there is only ONE true God. . sooooooo?....to the Jehovah Witness', is Jesus a FALSE God or a TRUE God? Looks like either Jesus is the ONE true God (along with the Father & the Holy Spirit) or the Witness' are depending on a FALSE god sent to die for their sins by the TRUE God Jehovah. No wonder they they talk so fast when they knock on your door. They're afraid you might see through the Watchtower doubletalk......Of course Jesus just might be right when He said.."Unless you believe that I AM (the name of Jehovah from Exodus 3:14) you WILL die in your sins"-John 8:24-----theBerean

A spirit(God the Father) cannot die. The same goes for the Holy Spirit. The only way Jesus could die back then was as a man of flesh not a spirit. I hope you are already on a quest for the truth and the light(Jesus).

When Jesus died the their was compete chaos in th universe at the moment of death for all creation cried out. the Father who sustains all did not die for the creator to die would mean all would cease to exist. The Holy Spitrit did not die for GOD's power is not negatable.
The WORD of GOD writtendid not die or fall to the ground empty.
The Living Word died, went to hell, And retutrned triumphantly over death.
Jesus lives.

God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost are 3 seperate holy beings with 1 purpose.
They all have the salvation and happiness of man as their work and their glory.

have you ever heard a loved up couple say we are one, or my other half meaning one. well its the same sought of thing with religion.....but 3 - father, son and holyspirit, people try to understand religion in a wordly sense but unfortunatly you can explain it so worldly.
just look at it like technology CAR, ENGINE & PETROL in order to drive the CAR you need the ENGINE in order to work the engine you need the PETROL so to get the location you attend to go to you need all 3....without one of these 3 you will not achieve.
thats my understanding of Trinity....father, son, holyspirit 3 = 1

God & the Holy Ghost is only ONE spirit, But working in different offices, Jesus Christ is the one that died for our sins, God did not die. There is only ONE SPIRIT ONE FAITH ONE BAPTISM.
