Hello.
Okay ill just start off by saying this. I suffer from really bad nerves and anexiouness. (i dont think i septl that right) SO i cant confront people that well. :( well anyway a few days ago i brought a pair of 5.1 head phones for £30. Which to me is a lot :( as my speakers had broken for the pc so thought why pay out £40 for 2 when i can have 5.1. anyway I got home and tried them and they were terrible! The sound was really tinny, there was hardly any bass and there was a slight crackle if u crank the sound up over half way on my pc. So if im honest :( I stuck a pin in the head phones to make em a bit worse and got my mum to take them back. Well My mums just come home and she said there keeping them in to test them. Now im really worried when i go to pick them up tomorrow they will know what ive done and have a go at me and ill lose my money :( So i want to know is there ANYTHING! I can do to explaine that theres a puncture in the head phones/?? Please help :(

What you did was totally wrong. In order to cover up for your diffidence in returning the item for bad quality, you have chosen to spoil the item.
Any shopkeeper with some experience would immediately know that the hole was made later, after the sale.
You have two choices: forget the item and lose pounds 30 which you obviously don't want to do. Or meet the shopkeeper and tell him to test each of the headphone pieces separately to check their quality. If what you found was right, then the defect in the piece which you didn't punch a hole in, would be enough to convince the shopkeeper that it indeed is a bad set, and he may agree to replace the set, depending on the returns policy. (Of course here I presume that you spoiled only one of the two pieces.) Even to do this needs a lot of courage since you will have to tell a lie that the hole wasn't made by you, if the shop accuses you of having done this.
Since it was your mom who took the piece to the shop, you can ask her to visit the shop on the appointed day. You will of course have to confess to her what you did. Maybe she will be able to do a better job than you.
The shop probably would accept the piece as a special case as you say that the quality was bad even without the hole you made.

In future, please don't do silly things like this. Honesty always pays in the long run. You have to learn to be more forthcoming and gain self-confidence in your dealings with others.
