In India it is mandatory that all food stuffs are clearly marked with this colour code,a totally vegetarian item is marked green,whereas the inclusion of a non-vegetarian ingredient or a wholly non-vegetarian food,will be marked with a red square & a red circle within.Don't know if this code exisits elsewhere.

it means whatever is inside your cookie wrap is made up of all vegetarian food....it is a vegetarian snack.....

it says that the food is purely vegetarian. brown is for non-vegetarian.
