Im very close to my cousins, they're like my sisters.
The younger sister confessed to me that she slept with the older sister's ex husband.
They were split up at the time, and still are.
I had promised not to tell, should I have told the older sister.
She now knows the truth and thinks I should have done something more. She is filing for divorce...I know she's extremely hurt.

Yes its messy... the younger sister and ex husband live together. No they are currently not in a relationship.
Apparently it only happened once.

I think that you should have told the younger sister that she should go and tell everything to her sister. or maybe made a meeting where all three of you had been there, and talked about it. The younger sister should have told her sister, and if she didn't wanted to you could always threatened her by telling everything the oldest one.

I'm not sure what you are worried about. It sounds like the entire family (or at least enough of you), know her game. And, why do you still call her your BF???? She may have her own issues because of her upbringing, but let her know that she doesn't need to sleep with men, or destroy a family to get attention. You all loved her just as she was and her current behavior is making it hard for you to continue on doing so. I say kill her with kindness. The babies aren't going away, so she will always be around. You could try to brek up the wedding, but it would just cause drama. I say seek her out, let her know that this has to stop and try to get her to change her ways. If she does, screw her and move on with your own life. Why waste anymore time on it???

Well I think it is best not to have gotten into it . I would have pressured my cousin into telling her sister . That wasn't fare that she told you and left you with that mess . If anything let your cousins sister know you didn't think you should have been the one to tell that her sister should have . Just let her know you are not the type of person to break a promise and tell your other cousin to never tell you anything like that again cause you don't want mixed up in that . GOOD LUCK , with your cousins !

No. She confided in you. If you want the answer to your question, ask yourself whether or not those involved are happier now or if your telling the secret benefitted anyone. Be careful not to pass judgement on others for their mistakes. We all have skeletons in our closets. Anyway, just apologize and chalk it up as a lesson learned. Don't continue to beat yourself up over it...just make a different decision next time.

The sister should have told her. But since they were separated, it would not have been wrong for you to tell her. The marriage must of already been in doubt. If you had told her, it would have helped her make a decision to stay or not stay in the marriage.

You did right, it was not your business to tell. Shame on your cousin for even telling you. I don't understand your last sentence. Who thinks you should have done "more" and what the heck were you suppose to do, you had nothing to do with it. Who is filing for divorce ...makes no sense. Sounds like one big unhappy family to me. Enjoy.
