Alledgedly, Noah and his sons and their families were the only untainted humans left on Earth, so those little babies would have just been plain old evil. That is, if I'm assuming the story as it stands is true.
Of course, those of us who have studied a broader mythology and archeology know where the myth originated from.

This question presumes that babies are inherently innocent simply because they are babies. But that reasoning is flawed. This question also presumes that God is responsible for all children. That also is flawed. Parents are responsible for their children. Not God.
The scriptures also teach that all have sinned and fall short. That includes children. Nevertheless, in accord with the principle at 1 Corinthians 7:14, had only one parent seen fit to get aboard the Ark, the child of that parent would have been saved for the parent would have taken the child along, yes? All you had to do was get on the boat. Just get on the boat. Now look at it from a practical standpoint . . .
Let us assume for ease of discussion that the world population at that time was 10,000. Of those, let us say there were 1,000 babies. How many survived the flood? Eight persons survived according to the scriptures. If God had commanded that those 1,000 babies be put on board the Ark, how would eight people care for 1,000 babies? And on what basis should we even suggest that they now be responsible for the babies that those selfish parents neglected?
No, you are much mistaken and you know not the scriptures. There is no way to blame God for the death those children suffered.

God gave them 120 years to get onboard, Don't you think that is enough time, You may say, God already chosen the ones to get on the ark, That is true to a certain point, But if only 8 was to be saved, Then why did Noah preached those 120 yrs. to the people.

I know this is difficult to understand, but even though God is a loving God, He IS a God of wrath concerning wickedness and those who commit evil. He had His hand in aiding King David in his battles, helped Samson defeat the Philisitines in a bloody scene when he toppled the temple, etc. There are more examples, but the Lord did these things to prove He is a God full of wrath AGAINST wickedness. It may seem sad, but these children were the offspring of wicked people, and God did not want this root to take hold again in the Earth. As wicked as people are today, it seems people then were truly awful, with exception to Noah and his clan, whom the Lord found worthy. There have been theories that not all of the Earth was covered in a flood, and that not all people perished, but the Bible does state 'The entire Earth". It is helpful if you can read more, or talk with someone to better explain this, but the Lord has and will seek even more wrath against the wicked. In Revelations, it is pointed out how God will set his Angels to destroy the wicked in the Earth, BUT, he WILL SAVE those who have accepted Him. The Lord is Love and Charity, but He is also a God of Wrath against evil.

UHMMM?
according to the testimony of Abraham, there was no one innocent even in the days of Sodom and gomorah.
So i assume there was no one INNOCENT at all in the days of noah, for the 500 years that God waited while the ark was built.
There was the Ascension of Enoch, and though the bible says Enoch walked with God and was taken, there is some evidence that the people of Enoch were also saved and ascended with him just before Everyone else was destroyed.
the testimony found in the book of genesis declares there was violence, and corruption of the flesh. Some people say Angels fell and took wives of the daughters of men, but others say it was ALL the children of Adam that chose to LOVE Satan More.
Yes it is possible for an entire world to choose the wrong because of idolatry and deceit.

There are a lot of religious stories that if you looked closely and honestly at them, really are bad stories. Most stories about gods make them come off as spoiled brats.
More such stories:
What would you think of a guy who through his son on a slab and was ready to kill him just because a god told him to? So what if that god said, "Just kidding. Here's a lamb to kill instead". It doesn't make it much better.
Then there is the story of God sending bears to rip apart children because they called someone "baldy"
After God has sufficiently hardened the Pharaoh's heart, he kills all the firstborn Egyptian children. When he was finished "there was not a house where there was not one dead." Finally, he runs out of little babies to kill, so he slaughters the firstborn cattle, too.
When "the spirit of the Lord" comes upon Jephthah, he makes a deal with God: If God will help him kill the Ammonites, then he (Jephthah) will offer to God as a burnt offering whatever comes out of his house to greet him. God keeps his end of the deal by providing Jephthah with "a very great slaughter." But when Jephthah returns, his nameless daughter comes out to greet him (who'd he expect, his wife?). Well, a deal's a deal, so he delivers her to God as a burnt offering -- after letting her spend a couple of months going up and down on the mountains bewailing her virginity.
And there are many more...

Deuteronomy 32:4, 5 says, "The Rock, ideal is his interest, For all his techniques are justice. A God of faithfulness, with whom there is no injustice; Righteous and upright is he. they have acted ruinously on their own section; they do no longer seem to be his toddlers, the illness is their own. A era crooked and twisted!" Christians have faith interior the attributes describing God. All executions finished via God are subsequently deemed as "basically" and are not questioned. as an occasion, there is adequate reason to have faith toddlers died interior the Flood, the destruction of Sodom & Gomorrah, the destruction of Babylon, and in many different acts of God interior the previous testomony, yet none of them have been deemed "evil" or "unjust" via God's followers in those events. to boot, a splash one is subject to the selections of their determine. If the determine chooses to no longer obey, they have chosen a similar for their new child. while a new child is able to verify, comprehend and characteristic their own thinking skills, they might now no longer be subject to their mum and dad' religious judgements. Dont you think of God would desire to envision hearts?

There were no innocent babies in Old Testament times. Original sin counted against babies too. Remember God killed the firstborn of Egypt in the Book of Exodus.

And you think its kinder to let children grow up as orphans?
No, I can see the logic in God's work. If you stop awhile, you will too.
