I don't believe a person makes that claim about themselves.
Others spread that word about a person.
Some people do have the gift of prophecy that ministers directing to their particular church or prayer group.
But...people who go on T.V. and proclaim themselves prophets for money don't interest me.

I recently heard that those claiming to be prophets (i.e. psychics) have about a 50% success rate. Then again, so do I, which means I must be a prophet as well.
Punxatonie Phil the groundhog has a better rate of predicting the start of spring.

You test a prophet with God's word and the truth is revealed by the Holy Spirit.

Unless he could back up his claim in a real way, I'd say he's nuts. Prophets are a dime a dozen, and overpriced at that rate.

The Holy Prophet(SAW) is the last prophet and no other real prophet can follow him.

I'd listen but I can't imagine ever meeting such a person, if I did I imagine they would in all probability have mental health issues.

1 to a 1.000.000 that it is not true.
If one is a prophet then he has no need to claim it as His/Her will will be done whatsoever.
