it's okay....if the kitten was out in the wild, you'd be surprised what it will eat !

Bread should not hurt your sister's kitten, as long as she has a good quality cat food to eat also. Cats need the nutrients in the cat food for growth, bones, ect. We have 9 cats and some of them have funny tastes also. One cat loves cantalope.. One loves chips.and cheese. And one loves Jet puff marshmallow cream. As long as the cat is eating good food a morsel of bread now and again will be fine.

I certainly wouldn't encourage it. Cat food is made especially for the digestive track of a cat. Bread could cause constipation, get clogged in it's throat. It's also taking up space that it needs for the nutrients needed in her food. Cats are not like dogs. They stop when full, so when it's time for her food, she'll likely not have an appetite, therefore loosing out on what's healthy for her.

my kitten used to eat everything. She stole a whole bread from the kitchen table plus a vine of tomatoes from the kitchen table while I was at work she even took it in my bed to eat it all. nothing left. she grew up happy and healthy. Guess cat food was too boring

My husbands nan (who lives in a farm) used to feed the farm cats with bread soaked in water and i think flavouring like an oxo cube or something. They were all fine from eating bread.
Our cat eats all sorts - cheerioes, marmite, rice - and non-edible things such as string, fluff and elastic bands, and yet if her cat food is down for more than a couple of hours she wont eat it!!!!! sheesh.

well sue, obviously you have never satisfied a cat. A healthy cat needs to be satisfied 3 - 5 times a day. You can practice sue on a snorkel filled with mayonaise. But untill you work up the wrist and finger skill and strenght, i suggest you use a soup spoon to copulate Ernie, it always seems to do the trick on my cats. Lets give that a try and see if it cheers him up a bit. Hope this was helpiful! Sincereley, Mac THE cats expert

It shouldn't be a problem, I have two cats that beg at the dinner table during dinner. I give them bits and pieces from time to time.
They are both doing fine and their Vet said as long as they are getting their cat food more that human food they are fine.
Hope this helps.

Should be ok. The thing is with cats they aren;t stupid. They dippen on themselves for their survival unless its some spoilt cat lol They dont usual eat things that aren't safe
