Wow that was a long article to read!
I think that this eager young creationist latched onto to something he hadn't checked or verified himself. I do not think he intentionally lied or used fraud. So he made a mistake.
Remember that guy a few years ago who thought he'd found a planet outside the solar system, then had to eat crow and admit his data was faulty?
I don't think it's fair of you to label all Creationists as liars and frauds just because one silly kid made a mistake and didn't verify his sources. Be fair Brendan.

Knowledge should begin with the question "why/which/etc.", which leads to investigation, and ends in a conclusion based on that investigation. The problem with creationism is it begins with the conclusion (ie: does everything the wrong way round), and then has to force the investigation (and the resulting facts) to fit the conclusion: hence, the facts get made up and twisted on route.
There is, however, nothing new in this method. When regarding creationists, you could use the anti-Copernicans as a comparison, who refused to accept that the Sun, and NOT the Earth, was the centre of the Solar System and which was a major dispute in the 16th/17th Centuries (in short: same trash, different century).
(For more info on that one, google: "De revolutionibus orbium coelestium")

Scientists have nothing to lose by having theories disproved (after all, that is the nature of science - the search for the truth), whereas religious believers will lose their faith and, hence, their entire perception of reality.
Also, there is the strange notion that scientific theores are either 'right or wrong'. There is a very wide gap in the middle! Every theory in science is nothing more than a model developed from evidence. If evidence is found to be in dispute of a model, the model is adapted to match. That is how science works.
And it is very sad that so many people blindly believe in religion and refuse to search for the truth. I am ashamed that I was once a Christian and believed it blindly. I was even responsible for helping to spread the lies at times. Forgive me, science community.
I did, however, 'see the light' and embrace that feeling that something wasn't right. Once I'd broken the binding that held me to Christianity, I started to really appreciate the beauty of science.

I am not crazy about the wording of this quesition. Its in line with the old "when did you stop beating your wife?" But I am certainly no friend of creationism.
You can not practice good science if you make the facts fit your preconcieved ideas. I realize that everyone has this problem, not just creationists, but it seems to be particularly rampant in their camp.

I'm sick of this. Whether or not the universe is 6,000 years old or 6,000 gazillion years old, what has that got to do with anything to do with faith and religion ?
Men, men decide to try and sway peoples thinking. Creationists lie. Scientists lie. It is all men talking, not (insert your deity of choice here) talking. Does all the talking prove the existence or non-existence of (insert your deity of choice here) ? Of course not.
Religion is not about proof, it's about belief and faith and finding something to believe in, together with other people, so you do not have to think you are alone in this mad world.
Religion presumes the existence of God.
Science does not presume there is no God, just that it is impossible to prove that there is.
That men lie proves nothing.
The age of the universe proves nothing.

So, if one evolutionist tells a lie, does that mean that all evolutionists resort to lies and fraud?

Creationism is true.
All you need to do is to read the Bible, the most correct book on Earth.
I bet you haven't though. You're too closed minded.
Look, the Earth is only about six thousand years old. This has been proven.
Just do the math. There are 6.5 billion people on the world, count backwards and you come to the conclusion that the world can't be that old. Evolution is from satan and is a lie.

Why don't evolutionists look at the scientific evidence and admit that it is a ridiculous theory. The evidence shows design. Where there is design, there is a Designer. Study.
