I began to lose my hair at age 21. That's young! Why is it socially acceptable to make mean spirted cts about my lack of a hairline while strangers will stop my balding sister on the street to offer
suggestions on wigs, transplants, etc. I don't know if I wanna know the answer to this.

Believe it or not, I think people accept the idea of male baldness so thoroughly that they consider it "safe" to make "humorous" remarks about it. With your sister, it is much less acceptable, so she receives sympathy and is offered assistance. But from strangers? I don't know which of you has it worse in that regard.
