how about cooking your steak in the oven, you seal with salt and pepper and cover in foil, then cook slowly and serve with black pepper sauce, new potatoes and baby carrots, green beans and corn. Lovely! I had to cook a meal for 30 and this was the only way I could get all the steaks cooked at the same time without drying out and burning. Hope this gives you another idea.

leave it to soak in Balsamic vinegar for about 2 hours prior to cooking, this will really tenderise the meat.then finely chop some onions, garlic and coriander fry for a few minutes put into an oven proof dish with the steak cook on gas 3 for about 15-20 minutes

There are lots of easy to use rubs and marinades you will find in your grocery store and online. Also, ask the guys at your meat counter for ideas.

If you have a gas or charcoal grill there is a cookout calculator at charcoalbob.com that gives you tips and detailed instructions for how to grill steak depending on kind of steak, thickness, desired doneness and so on. It's fun and easy to use.

I beat the steak (or should I say tenderise) with a rolling pin then gently fry it until its medium to well done (no pink meat).

If you've a george foreman/similar you can cook it in that too to allow the excess fats to drain away.

Good luck

First of all buy a prime cut of steak such as "fillet" or "rump" etc. Then make a sauce such as mushroom, pepper or red wine etc.You can buy these sauces in sachet or jar form if you do not want to make it yourself.
Seal off the steak ie a quick flash in the pan then place steak in a suitable oven dish cover in the sauce then place in pre-heated oven gas mark 5 for one hour

I have found that the best way to cook a steak is to use a pressure cooker. They are easy to use and your steak always comes out tender.
